Overview

The Centre for Culture, Media and Governance is configured as a focal point of teaching, research, training and Policy Advocacy in the domain of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies in India and South Asia.

In the Media Governance programme from Jamia Millia Islamia, we recognise that such a vision, with communication as a frame of reference, cannot be realised within existing disciplinary confines.

The Centre recognises the need for an interdisciplinary commitment because communication plays a pivotal role in the organisation of Institutional forms, symbolic system and pattern of everyday life throughout the Indian subcontinent.

Research on communication is closely linked to questions of public policy and the state, of economic and technological expansion, and more broadly to social and cultural issues.

Self-attested copy of the Letter from the employer of the parent abroad (not older than 6 month at the time of admission)
Self-attested Copy of the NRI Status Certificate issued by the Indian Embassy in the concerned country
AffidavitonRs.10 stamp paper from the parent for financial support (can be submitted at the time of final admission)
The candidate has to submit “Anti Ragging Affidavit” from Class 1 Gazetted Officer/Notary
