The MA Media Studies at Leiden University consists of four different programmes in the fields of Journalism and New Media (Dutch taught), Book and Digital Media Studies, Film and Photographic Studies and Cultural Analysis: Literature and Theory.

Overview

Media Studies offers four specialisations. Each specialisation explores a different medium in-depth, including how it interrelates with other media forms. You will also get the opportunity to investigate the roots of this relatively new academic field.At Leiden University, you will learn from acclaimed scholars with expertise in a wide range of disciplines. Our lecturers are dedicated to ensuring you reach your goals during your studies. Media Studies at Leiden University is an accredited degree programme. After successful completion of this programme, you will receive a master’s degree in Media Studies and the title Master of Arts (MA).
