- Unique program. Our master’s and doctoral programs emphasize the sociocultural nature of learning and development. They are deeply rooted in theoretical foundations. But the programs also explore individuals’ cultural context and personal characteristics and how they impact development and motivation.
- Follow your passion. Tailor your master’s or doctoral program to suit your goals and interests. Graduate students choose their own research subjects; they aren’t pigeonholed into faculty members’ research areas.
- Learn theory and real-world applications. Research methods in educational psychology traditionally emphasize quantitative research. Our program is distinctive in that our students explore both qualitative and quantitative methods. We stress the importance of real-world applications and using research questions to drive methodology and practice.
