The Cellular and Molecular Biology graduates of University of Toledo receive in-depth, personalized training from internationally renowned biomedical researchers. Research and courses emphasize cell biology, molecular biology, genetics and related areas.

Cellular and Molecular Biology graduate degree highlights

Financial support. The majority of master's students and all doctoral students receive tuition waivers and competitive stipends in exchange for working as teaching or research assistants.
Intensive research training. Students in the cellular and molecular biology graduate program receive one-on-one training, working directly with research mentors. They receive in-depth experience with advanced technology and gain marketable knowledge and skills.

Network. The Biology Graduate Student Association offers a ready-made support system and study groups. The Careers in Science Committee hosts events, from seminars to career fairs, that inform students about jobs and connects them with mentors.
Want to teach? The University of Toledo's dual degree program allows students who want to become high-school biology teachers simultaneously earn an M.S. in biology and an education degree. It can be completed in 18 months.

The GMAT is only required for applicants with a GPA below 2.7 or applicants seeking Graduate Assistantship opportunities. Applicants with a GPA below 2.7 can be considered for a waiver at the discretion of the Associate Dean.
