Overview

The Management Engineering degree from University of Padua provides graduates with the capabilities of understanding and managing the interconnections of technical/production, human/organisational and economic/financial nature that underpin industrial processes. Graduates will also acquire a set of advanced skills and competences that will make them capable of successfully implementing change and innovation projects and fully exploiting the opportunities offered by the emerging digital technologies.

Career opportunities

Because of their ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments, the Management Engineer can be employed both in industrial and service sectors, as well as in large and small-sized enterprise. In these contexts, Management Engineers can work in all major business functions: General Management, Production Planning and Control, Sales and Marketing, Research & Development, Engineering and Quality, Purchasing/Procurement, Management Control and Financial Analysis, Information Technology and Systems, Logistics, Human Resources.

Programme Structure

The programme is structured into a set of core teachings in the management, analytics and technical/engineering areas, plus three alternative specialized paths, namely Smart operations, Analytics for business, and Technology management. Two elective teachings, the internship and the thesis complete the offering.

The programme is a study track – held completely in English – of the Master’s degree programme in Ingegneria Gestionale
