Overview
The programme
This programme starts with an introductory course in the well-equipped textile laboratories, which gives you a good insight in textile production. Then follows specialization courses where you learn to handle the textile value chain and understand how the different parts link together and affect each other.
The courses have a strong basis in current research in textile management focusing on sustainable development in the textile value chain as well as research in adjoining subjects such as business administration and industrial economics.
Research in textile management at the University of Borås is internationally prominent and integrated in the programme through lectures, workshops, and projects. There are also good opportunities to connect with other researchers around the world via international networks and collaborations.
After your studies
You will have the tools to manage marketing and consumer behavior in many textile and fashion processes. After graduation, the labour market is good and most students use their education to move on to new jobs in the textile and fashion industry.
The Swedish School of Textiles at The University of Borås

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, textile technology, fashion studies, textile design or fashion design. In addition, knowledge of English equivalent to English 6 is required.
