From the basics of medical science to lab experiments for the Master’s thesis, individual scientific training takes priority. Experimental work in state-of-the-art research labs is essential; practicals in research labs, tutorials, excursions, lectures and seminars complement the curriculum. The ultimate goal is to train you in thinking out of the box and to provide knowledge that helps cover ground in research more quickly.
Medical Life Sciences has been organised to equip you for a career in biomedicine. It includes Bioinformatics, English Scientific Writing or Systems Biology as well as the focus areas INFLAMMATION, EVOLUTIONARY MEDICINE and ONCOLOGY you can choose from to follow your interests
Electives provide yet more scope for delving into topics you are particularly interested in, whether it's regenerative medicine, molecular paleopathology or medical imaging, to name but a few.
