Key Features
The Master in Glass and Ceramic Art and Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa aims to introduce glass and ceramics as materials to be explored for use in art. In the depth of this parallel and cross treatment, in its reflection and practice, the conditions for the emergence of new results are created. It is hoped that along this route, students will explore these relationships in the scope of authorial signalling, improve critical skills and benefit from training and streamlining communication skills and dissemination of results as an integral part of the projects being worked on.
Careers
It is the objective of this master to give artists and designers the fundamental tools to develop an artistic activity or to be integrated into the design industry of the ceramic and glass, contributing to the increase of creativity in these areas.
This master's degree is also open to graduates in exact sciences, who will be able to bridge the gap between art and science and contribute to innovation in various technological processes involving these materials.

- Bachelor's degree holders or legal equivalent in the areas of Fine Art, Design, Architecture, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, Conservation and Restoration as well as other accepted by the Scientific Committee of the Master and approved by the Scientific Council of one of the Faculties.
- Foreigners academic degree holders, conferred following a 1st cycle of studies according to the Bologna Process, in the fields of Fine Art, Design, Architecture, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, Conservation and Restoration
- Foreigners academic degree Holders in the fields of Fine Art, Design, Architecture, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, Conservation and Restoration as well as other accepted by the Scientific Committee of the Course and recognized as meeting the requests of the Bachelor´s degree by the Scientific Council of one of the Faculties.
- Application letter and statement;
- A portfolio for students from Fine Arts schools.
