About the program

The program leading to the degree of M.S. in Archaeometry consists of a minimum of four semesters. Prior to the submission of an Archaeometry Thesis (for M.S. with Thesis) / Archaeometry Term Project Report (for M.S. with Non-Thesis), students are required to complete the Graduate Curriculum outlined below.

The main purpose of the Archaeometry program from METU Middle East Technical University is to qualify the graduates toward bringing solutions to the archaeological problems by the application of scientific methods of natural and applied sciences. The study and understanding of history have acquired a new dimension through the collaboration between pure scientists and archaeologists. Thus, the analysis, identification and dating of archaeological remains and materials have become complete.

International Graduate Students' Registration Form: The form is expected to be downloaded by the student and filled, including the student's signature.
ALES / GRE Score Sheet: The score sheets are valid for five years from the exact date they are announced. Students who used to be registered in one of the graduate programs of METU and then either canceled the registration on their own will or were dismissed from the program are not asked to provide a new ALES / GRE score only if they have not been registered to graduate programs of METU for one academic year at max.
