The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Master of Science (M.S.) in M.Sc. Programme in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Yildiz Technical University.


The main purpose of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Programe from Yildiz Technical University is; providing theorotical knowladge for developing, improving new materials and production methods and finding alternatives, equiping students with necessary knowladge for designing and evaluating them in material topics. Improving student's analitic, critic and problem solving skills, and preparing students for industrial career and further researches.

General requirements

  • To study in the graduate programs, the students are required to take an exam called “ALES” (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam), which is also administered by ÖSYM, and submit this score with their application. GRE or GMAT can also be a substitute of ALES. The applicants have to meet additional program requirements defined by the universities.
  • In Turkey, the universities have the right to define the admission criteria themselves and these admission criteria have to be approved by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK).
