Overview

GIOCA (Graduate degree in Innovation and Organization of Culture and Arts) is an interdisciplinary programme aimed at forging the skills of worldwide art institutions’ future leaders. It focuses on applied management knowledge, change processes in arts organizations, and the impact of public sector and public funding transformation in the cultural sector. It is based on a strong interdisciplinary approach comprising business studies, organization, marketing and humanities. The class, composed of half European and half Non- European students, is the ideal environment where to grow students’ ability in team working, where to gain an international perspective and where to enhance entrepreneurial skills. GIOCA program is one of the most recognized players in high-quality university education at a European and international level, and it is part of a network of international degrees in the arts management field. Among almost ten international partnerships with universities from all around the globe, GIOCA offers as well Double Degree Program with the top rated Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (USA).

Academic Requirements

  • This programme does not recognise GRE® scores.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

General Requirements

To be admitted to GIOCA, candidates need to have acquired:

  • economic and managerial basic knowledge;
  • a good general knowledge and notions of culture and the arts;
  • a strong vocation for the relevant contents and topics of the Programme;
  • aptitude for the professional profiles in question.

To be admitted to GIOCA it is necessary to have:
  • at least a first level degree (Bachelor’s) 
  • English language knowledge is required, minimum B2 level or equivalent.
