Highlights
School of Organic Chemistry at East China University of Science and Technology was formerly known as School of Chemistry and Pharmacy, which was established in October 1998 on the basis of the former School of Fine Chemicals and Pharmaceutical Engineering, the Chemistry Department of the School of Science, and the basic chemical teaching section of the Basic Education Institute.
Programme Structure
- Our school undertakes annually more than 30 national research programs and publishes more than 200 SCI papers and 100 EI papers each year.
- Currently, there are more than 1400 registered full-time undergraduate students, 600 master degree candidates, 150 engineering master degree candidates, 250 Ph.D candidates as well as 10 post-doctors.

General requirements
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health both mentally and physically with a degree (Bachelor’s degree for Master applicants) and meet the language requirements.
- Copy of passport photo page.
- Copy of graduation and degree certificate of the highest education.
- Transcripts of all courses at the highest academic level.
- Proof of Chinese or English language proficiency (HSK score obtained on and after September 1st 2021 is valid.)
- Acceptance Letter
- Two Recommendation Letters in English or Chinese from Professor or Associate Professor.
- A Study Plan with a minimum of 800 words and a detailed Research Proposal if prepared.
- Other supporting documents (e.g. published papers, awards & certificates)
