Overview

World Economy at Beijing Normal University l has undertaken and completed National Social Science Fund project, National Natural Science Fund project and nearly a hundred projects entrusted by ministries, provinces and cities.

Key facts

The School has had a number of academic achievements published at home and abroad, and successively won Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, China Soft Science Award and the first prize of Beijing Philosophy and Social Science. Up to 2018, the School has 57 faculty members and now admits doctoral candidates of theoretical economics and graduate students in applied economics and theoretical economics.

So far, the School has founded 15 scientific research institutions home and aboard, including China office for the Green Industry Platform of United Nations Industrial Development Organization, China Institute of Innovation and Development, China Institute for Poverty Reduction, and Beijing Key Lab of Study on Sci-Tech Strategic for Urban Green Development.

The CASM/SS is a think tank integrating four functions of “governance advising, research, education and cooperation”.

The policy-making consultation provided by CASM/SS has exerted obvious effect and wide social influence. By June 2019, more than 160 research results had been commented on or adopted by authorities of various levels of Party and Government.
