Who is an international student?

An applicant must have foreign nationality and has never studied in Taiwan before as an overseas Chinese student at the time of application.
An applicant has never been admitted through admission placement by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese studnet in the year of application.
An applicant must apply in accordance with the "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan" by the Ministry of Education.

International applicants:

with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for undergraduate programmes;
with a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply for master's degree programmes;
with a master's degree are eligible to apply for a Ph.D. programme.

You do not need to Chinese if you intend to enroll in an international degree programme or English-taught programme. You can also attend a language course to improve your Chinese language skills.

First academic year: International students with English Proficiency TOEFL IPT 550 or equivalent proficiency can get Providence Grant which is the same amount of tuition fee.
