Overview
The course, delivered in English and in blended mode in Padova, offers a training course focused on the developmental age. Those who graduate will be able to play a crucial role in supporting the development of girls, boys and adolescents in different life contexts, designing targeted interventions, improving long-term outcomes and reducing the risk of the onset of problems at later ages. In addition, they will be trained to work internationally with children and families in culturally diverse and potentially at-risk environments. The training course includes teachings in the main areas of psychology, activities in small groups, and the in-depth study of more specific issues in the pediatric area and intercultural communication. The work areas in which it is possible to find a place are mainly educational-scholastic, social, health, in childcare services, in third sector bodies and in organizations, including non-governmental organizations.Career opportunities
Graduates work as professionals in applied child and adolescent psychology, especially in educational settings, healthcare facilities, and community organizations, focusing on training, consulting, and intervention for children and families. They are licensed to practice as psychologists in Italy and can pursue doctoral studies at research institutions.
