Recent scientific and technological advancements in health care have created numerous new functions and job opportunities in medical technology companies, healthcare institutes, hospitals and research centres. These include patient identity management, healthcare mobility and business intelligence, applied medical research, designing, developing and testing of prototypes and installations and configuration of medical instruments.
In the field of Health Technology Assessment (HTA), there is an increasing demand for experts providing policy-makers with evidence-based information about the medical, economic, organisational, social and ethical issues related to the use of health technology.

General requirements
Admission of students is based on a selection procedure.
Candidate students submit an application containing their cv, academic study results, a motivation letter, and a proof of proficiency in English.
International students first need to pass the administrative screening procedure of KU Leuven’s Admissions cell. The diploma requirement is a master degree in engineering technology or equivalent.
Candidates should have obtained their degree with good study results, and from a good university. They meet the university's entry requirements in terms of English proficiency: a TOEFL score of minimum TOEFL 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 79/80 (internet-based), or an IELTS-score of 6.5.
They should have a clear motivation of professional goals in the domain of innovative health technologies and are able to motivate why the program will help to achieve them.
After a screening based on the submitted documents, the candidates will be interviewed
