This Mental Health Practice programme from The University of Lancashire is for qualified and professionally registered mental health practitioners, including social workers, mental health and learning disability nurses, occupational therapists and clinical psychologists.
Usually you will be nominated and funded by your local authority, but this course is open to applicants who meet the entry requirements, including practitioners working outside of a local authority too.

General requirements
- Applicants should hold at least a 2:2 degree in health related area or equivalent. Applicants who do not hold an acceptable degree but hold a CQSW, DipSW or equivalent, please seek advice from the Course Leader to discuss the application process
- Applicants who are employed outside the England and Wales statutory jurisdictions are excluded from applying for the AMHP programme
- The applicant will usually have employment with an agency with the ability to provide or arrange a suitable practice placement. Please note that a plans for a suitable placement will need to confirmed as part of the application process. The University cannot support with securing placements
- A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for this course
