Overview

The Academic Practice (PGCAP)   programme at the University of Liverpool Online is tailored for professionals working in or aspiring to work in higher education. Available as a Master of Arts (MA), Postgraduate Diploma (PGDAP), or Postgraduate Certificate (PGCAP), this part-time online programme delivers comprehensive training in teaching methods, academic leadership, and educational scholarship. The PGCAP offers two pathways: a standard route for those new to higher education teaching, and an FHEA pathway for experienced educators seeking Fellowship recognition. Students engage with international peers through innovative online learning platforms, developing both theoretical understanding and practical skills in contemporary teaching approaches. The programme is aligned with the Professional Standards Framework and delivered by experienced faculty from the University's Academy for Academic Development.
