Overview

The Archaeological Science M.Sc. at Lakehead University offers a sophisticated platform for students to merge humanities-based research with rigorous scientific methodology. This programme is designed to bridge the gap between traditional archaeology and cognate disciplines such as geology, physics, and molecular biology.

Students entering the programme with a background in anthropology will gain expertise in laboratory-based analytical techniques. Conversely, those from scientific backgrounds will learn to apply their specific technical knowledge to complex archaeological questions, ensuring a truly transdisciplinary educational experience for all cohorts.

The curriculum focuses on providing both theoretical depth and practical skills necessary for modern research.
