How Can I Apply?
In order to study master at the International School of Management (ISM), the university conducts an online admission test.
This tests consists of preparing a brief Powerpoint presentation and an online interview with program director. This is to assess your motivation, your abilities as well as learn about your personality.
The Master programs are not restricted by a “Numerus Clausus” (NC, average grade).
What documents need to be submitted?
In order to verify your eligibility to study master in Germany, please first send the following documents to an ISM study advisor of your desired campus for a fast-check:
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Yourbachelor's degree (if already available) and transcript of records, comprising at least 180 ECTS points, or an equivalent course of study at an university, university of applied sciences or a foreign university of equivalent level.
- English language certificate (if available), for eg. TOEFL, IELTS or other (only needed if the medium of instruction in your high school/university was not English).
Upon examination and successful verification of your documents, you will be asked to register for an online admission test.
Application deadlines
We have no fixed applications deadlines at ISM, but we kindly ask international applicants who require a visa for studying in Germany to submit their application documents by
- July 15th of the previous year (program starts in fall semester).
- If you have missed this deadline, please contact a study advisor for more information on how to proceed.

- A successfully completed Bachelor's degree (transcript of records, if you have not graduated yet), comprising at least 180 ECTS points (for the Fast Track study option 210 ECTS points), or
- An equivalent course of study at a university or university of applied sciences or a foreign university of equivalent level
- Examinations must be at least 30 ECTS points in the field of business sciences.
- Proof of English language skills (if available), equivalent to the B2 level, for eg. TOEFL, IELTS 6.0 or other (only needed if the medium of instruction in your high school/university was not English)

Living costs for Dortmund
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
The ISM offers different grants and scholarships, including partial and some full scholarships. Other study financing options are available from third parties.
If you would like to apply for an ISM scholarship, applications can be submitted with an already passed ISM admission test for the
