Key features

The Directing and Design Production program of University of Victoria, British Columbia requires written comprehensive examinations before proceeding to the practicum. Each student will be assigned a faculty supervisor who will assist the student in the development of the practicum and the report.

All MFA candidates follow the specific area options described in the UVic Academic Calendar and complete:

9 to 12 units of graduate coursework (see specifics for Directing or Design and Production in the UVic Academic Calendar)
Methods and Materials of Theatre Research (including THEA 500A and 500B) (3 units)
MFA Practicum (6.0 units)
