This unique, writing-intensive Advertising - Account Management program at Humber College prepares account managers for the advertising industry by exploring a balance of skills from the advertising and creative side of the communication process.
An underpinning of the course work investigates how digital marketing and social media impact advertising today. Speakers from the industry, current communication challenges, in class activities and case studies are also used to engage you.
Humber’s approach to practical application of knowledge will enable you to confidently present effective and efficient solutions.
Building on your strong writing skills, you will develop your presentation and communication skills in order to better liaise with creative and client side teams.
By incorporating people skills and critical thinking skills, you will acquire the essential knowledge required to contribute to the fast-paced, creative world of advertising.
Graduates of this program may find employment as advertising and account managers, advertising managers, junior account managers, assistant account managers, account executives, and account liaison officers. Graduates will have the skills to work client-side, or in an agency team, in for-profit, not-for-profit and/or government marketing teams. Acquired skills can be put towards running your own company or working with in-house creative/marketing communications departments in organizations of all sizes.
