Why choose Medicine with Industrial Specialisation?
You should choose the Master's in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation if you want to work with, among other things, stem cells and the reconstruction of tissues, clinical and preclinical testing of medicine and the interaction between, for example, marketing and health economics. The programme teaches basic medical science, anatomy and physiology with a special industrial and research focus. You will choose between the profiles Biomedicine, Translational Medicine and Medical Market Access, which will make you an expert in treatment development and the testing, approval and implementation of medicines and other treatment methods in the healthcare system. You will become a specialist in identifying society's needs for the development of new treatments, as well as health economic effects on society and the ethical and research-based frameworks for correct conduct of medical trials.
Educational content
The Master’s in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation offers a mix of courses and projects, which you will write in groups with your fellow students. The courses are conducted in English and ensure that you gain basic knowledge within the main areas of the Master's – Biomedicine, Translational Medicine and Medical Market Access. This gives you a good foundation for combining your skills within these three subjects in the context of specific issues and your professional interests. The projects centre on practice-oriented problems and create the framework for you and your fellow students to delve into the exact area you are passionate about. During the final year of the Master's, you will take no courses, but only do project work. If you wish, you can write your project within a research environment at Aalborg University, during a study stay at a university hospital abroad or in collaboration with a company.
