Overview
The Medicine (Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Development) program at the University of Sydney is designed for clinicians wishing to pursue careers that relate to the development and safe use of medicines, cell and gene therapies and medical devices.
Career paths
Our Master of Medicine (Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Development) has been designed to ensure that the knowledge you gain can be applied to current industry needs and be readily integrated into your day-to-day work.
Graduates of our course will have the opportunity to move into careers in different areas of the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry including:
- medical and scientific affairs
- regulatory affairs
- clinical trials
- pharmacovigilance and product safety
- health technology assessment or pharmacoeconomics
- quality assurance
- manufacturing
- research and development
Graduates may also move into government roles in the TGA or federal or state health departments, contract research or manufacturing organisations.
