Overview
The Professional Landscape Architecture with Conversion programme at University of East London brings together 'conversion' modules of the postgraduate diploma, with modules from the MA taken by those holding an undergraduate landscape degree, combined into 'straight through' programme for direct entry to the UK profession at Licentiate status.
It is fully accredited by the Landscape Institute.
This course covers:
- design modules, where you lead the landscape design process, using a range of drawing and modelling techniques and softwares, taught in studio; and
- theory/ professional practice, where we explore the issues affecting our environment, visit, study, and discuss professional landscape architecture.
- This is a two-year programme (full time) and the fee varies each year. You may also consider applying for the postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture.
Your future career
Landscape architects are in demand nationally and internationally. There is a high industry employment rate. The graduates perform well within the field, achieving recognition and industry awards, and 100% from our Conversion MA have found employment in practice and in senior research or policy roles, including many who have not come from an art or design undergraduate programme. The School has links with a range of professional practices, and will give you invaluable experience of working collaboratively with other disciplines, on live projects and with professionals in a practice setting.
