University of East London can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

University of East London awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs.

Eligibility

  • You must have applied for a postgraduate taught course, starting in January or September 2026 and fee assessed as a Home student.
  • You cannot apply for the UEL postgraduate scholarship if you are studying with a collaborative partner institution, studying through distance or online learning, Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), Professional Diploma in MArch architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2), professional doctorate, MPhil, PhD and integrated masters.
  • In addition, MA Social Work students are also not eligible to apply if they receive government funding.

Before starting your application, you must make an application to start an eligible course at UEL. Once you have applied, you will be given a unique Student ID number, which you will need in order to submit a scholarship application.  

If you are already enrolled on a programme at UEL, you will not be eligible to apply for a scholarship towards that same programme.
