Overview
You will be a member of your supervisor’s research group in which you will develop your research skills with one to one supervision. Your core supervision team will consist of your principal supervisor, and one or more additional supervisors, which can also include scientists external to Oxford University.
You will meet regularly with your supervisors to plan your research and review your progress. In addition, where needed you will have support from the Director of Graduate Studies and a college advisor.
Formal assessment of your progress will be carried out by external assessors through the Transfer of Status (term four) which has to be passed before you defend your thesis.
The Women's and Reproductive Health is offered by the University of Oxford.
Supervision
The allocation of graduate supervision for this course is the responsibility of the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health and it is not always possible to accommodate the preferences of incoming graduate students to work with a particular member of staff. Under exceptional circumstances a supervisor may be found outside the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health.
In the case of students who require specific help to adjust to an academic programme or to a new range of skills, the supervisor will work with them to ensure that they have additional support.
