Our teaching team engages intensely with the real-world issues that shape and govern our world in the 2020s – the debates and conflicts about gender, sexuality, race, class, justice, technology and the environment – and they ground their knowledge and learning in rigorous readings of literary and cultural texts. Designed to explore a wide range of literary and cultural texts, Literature and Culture degree offered at University of Salford will equip you with the critical and research skills you’ll need to develop innovative approaches to your writing. General requirements
Normally a 2:1 Honours degree in English or a related Arts subject will be required.
Applicants with a 2:2 Honour's Degree (or equivalent) may begin as a PgDip student. If you passes all modules, you can progress to writing the dissertation to obtain the MA.
International students must provide evidence of proficiency in English – IELTS with an overall band score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 5.5) or an equivalent recognized Secure English Language Test score
