Overview
The Medical Bioscience programme at University of Bradford provides a platform for the study of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills associated with key subject areas, such as physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology and bioinformatics, alongside advanced training in key experimental methods required in future research aimed at improving human health.
A key feature of the programme is the opportunity to study a variety of specialist subjects in a combination that allows students to develop their own particular interests in a varied and selective way to develop an advanced level of knowledge and skills required in a broad range of employment organisations involved in research, education, regulatory approval, diagnostic services as well as the commercialisation of biomedical information.
Career prospects
Many students go on to study for PhDs either at Bradford or elsewhere.
Some graduates take up positions as teaching assistants in Biomedical Sciences in their home countries.
