There is an acute IT skills shortage that is detrimental to the growth of digital economies, and recent research confirms that many firms are struggling to recruit workers they need. This course aims to address this by producing graduates with the necessary advanced skills required to solve challenges faced by industry and commerce both today and in the future.

Programme Structure

You’ll gain an understanding of current computing trends, and modern applications and environments. You’ll learn to match tools and technologies to the needs of commerce and industry and integrate these technologies to develop high-quality information systems. The technical content is directed towards the study of state-of-the-art software development tools and techniques, complemented by practical work.

The individual project provides an opportunity to apply specialist knowledge together with analytic, problem-solving, managerial and communication skills to a particular area of interest. Working with the full support and guidance of your Project Supervisor, you’ll be given the opportunity to propose, plan, specify, develop, evaluate, and present a substantial project.
