Overview
The Economics program offered by Johannes Kepler University Linz prepares students to engage in challenging tasks at economic policy institutions in Austria and abroad, at private companies, public administration offices, or pursue a career in academia at research institutes, or in business research.
Students can specialize in various subfields such as international trade, labor market economics, industrial economics, macroeconomics, or public sector economics.
The courses are held in English, allowing students to improve their language skills and communicate effectively at a professional level. Graduates holding a Master’s degree in Economics are eligible to enroll in the JKU’s PhD program in Economics (PIE), coordinated together with the University of Innsbruck.
