The Master of Science in Engineering (MCI) at Tecnológico de Monterrey seeks to face this challenge by forming researchers and research oriented professionals with the capability to identify and solve important problems, and generate innovation.

Engineering has been one of the greatest enablers of progress in modern society since it has allowed transcending the natural limitations of the human being. At present, society as a whole and the engineering community, in particular, have to respond to a host of new challenges such as overpopulation, growing pressure on natural resources, and hyper-connected societies, requiring both innovation and sustainable thinking.

In light of this situation, there is a growing need to prepare specialists in the area of engineering, equipped with both a broad perspective to ask the right questions and the analytical tools and skills to provide accurate answers. These skills are indispensable for a modern society based on enlightenment, knowledge, and critical dialogue.

This graduate program at Tecnológico de Monterrey allows the student to specialize in one of the following lines of research:

  • Clean energies and sustainable use of water.
  • Mechatronics and advanced manufacturing, including robotics and control.
  • Industrial Engineering.
  • Telecommunications.
