The course of studies teaches methods and techniques in the field of powertrain and body engineering and deepens the fundamentals of engineering science. Students can freely choose their subjects from the subjects offered in the "General Automotive Engineering" and "Advanced Automotive Engineering" catalogues. Sample curricula are proposed which cover the subject areas "Vehicle powertrain application" and "Vehicle simulation" and allow an overlap-free study with a free choice of subjects.
At FH Aachen - University of Applied Sciences we offer a master degree inInternational Automotive Engineering. The Master Automotive training focuses on the integration and calibration of the vehicle driveline as well as on the simulation of vehicle structural behavior, especially of the vehicle body.
The course is taught in English. Presentations by students in English are part of the exercises and internships of the degree programme. Further qualifications that are acquired in the course of studies and which are oriented towards the qualification profile of future engineers are project management, data management, the operation of test facilities and the development of software for virtual product development. The programme concludes with a project-related master thesis and a colloquium. Graduates receive the title of Master of Science (M.Sc.).
