Overview

The mission of the Geosciences Department is to instruct, to conduct scholarly research with emphasis on national priorities, and to inform the general public about Geosciences and related subjects. We prepare graduates who are competent in theory and applications of Geology & Geophysics, who are equally prepared for industrial, governmental, and post-graduate careers. The Environmental Sciences program is offered by King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.

The Department builds partnerships with industry and leading international institutions, and offers expertise to provide solutions to problems relating to petroleum and mineral exploration, natural hazards, groundwater, engineering, and environmental issues.
