Overview
The objectives of the Intercultural Studies in Portuguese and Chinese - Translation, Education and Communication degree from University of Minho are focused on the preparation for the labor market related to Chinese / Portuguese cultures.
It aims at providing language skills, communication skills and cultural sensibility that will enable the students to create effective contacts, addressed to economic and cultural actors of those markets to establish bridges between societies.
The study program contains theoretical but mainly practical knowledge for the fields of translation, educational and business activities.
Careers
- Following the Degrees in Oriental Studies and Oriental Languages and Culture and as a complement of 2nd cycle, this degree specifically intended to specialize the orientation of the students in the acquisition of skills, not only in the field of Chinese language and culture and Portuguese language and culture but also directing the attention and efforts of masters in three main profiles, the three in the sphere of cross culturalism, namely:
- a profile aimed in the direction of translation;
- a profile directed towards training (Chinese to Portuguese and Portuguese to Chinese) ;
- a profile directed towards cross cultural entrepreneurship communication .
