General requirements

have majored in history or a related field;
demonstrate their proficient command of language(s) which is/are crucial to their research, for instance, to read/use documents vital to their proposed historical inquiry;
submit the following materials together with the application:
A research proposal in either Chinese or English. The language of the research proposal is recommended to align with the linguistic preference of potential supervisors;
A literature review (minimum 1000 words) of your research proposal in the language of the thesis will be;
An essay / term paper on history in either Chinese or English.
