Overview
About the education
Innovative environments, methods and tools
The education at Halmstad University is characterised by our profiling as a university that drives innovation. Here you will have a master's programme that develops new thinking and design so as to promote sustainable societal development.
You intersperse theory with practical elements in our design studio, a modern and creative learning environment where you practice by working on real design assignments from large and small companies, the public sector and various research projects. The design studio is both a physical place and a pedagogical approach. Here students can sit and work in their groups throughout the working day on both analogue and digital design work.
During the Digital Service Innovation programme of Halmstad University, you and your fellow students are "academic peers". This gives you the opportunity to develop as both a designer and a person, through exchange of experiences, review and evaluation of other students' design proposals, project results etc.
Career
Our Master's programme in Digital Service Innovation prepares you to work on the design of smart sustainable digital services, qualified tasks in the IT sector and qualified investigative and development work. Perhaps you will choose a career as a service designer in Sweden or abroad, or perhaps you prefer a research career.
