Program Goals

The Brain and Cognitive Sciences program from Seoul National University aim to educate a neuroscientist who can perform top-notch scientific research and thus can compete at any institution worldwide. In order to achieve the goal, we envision to raise a neuroscientist with the following key qualities through our departmental educational system:

Mastery of key theoretical issues in his/her research area

Mastery of fundamental as well as advanced research techniques

Communication skills that will allow freely exchanging ideas with foreign researchers

Responsibility for the academic community and public by holding high standard for research ethics
