The University of Mannheim Master in Data Science is an interdisciplinary program of study that is unique in Germany. 

Overview

Courses in the fields of Business Informatics, Sociology, Political Science, and Mathematics all deal with Big Data. In this master’s program, students also have the opportunity to attend courses offered by the interdisciplinary Data and Web Science research group at the University of Mannheim. 

Students in the Data Science programme from University of Mannheim learn to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize large amounts of data using the appropriate tools and methods.

It contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

  • Applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field to be admitted to the master’s program Mannheim Master in Data Science.
