The Translation and TESOL program at Western Sydney University lets you transform your English language ability into a desirable and marketable skill, and qualifies you to teach English as a second language. Subject to demand, Western offers specialisations in Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Spanish.
This course also provides practical and theoretical training in interpreting and translation, including linguistics. Equips you with the research skills necessary to conduct a small research project in your area of interest.

- Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree or postgraduate qualification in any discipline.
- Applicants must have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent, with a minimum 6.0 in each subtest, and have native or near-native proficiency in one of the following languages: Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Thai or Vietnamese.
- Applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens and holders of permanent resident visas must be made via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
