The Master of Arts in Visual Design and Marketing Communication at the NABA Milan and Rome campuses combines marketing study with creative practice in visual communication. Accreditation

Programme Structure
The Master of Arts in Visual Design and Marketing Communication develops creative and strategic skills through lectures and practical projects across two years:
- Year 1: Students explore graphic design and branding through visual communication methodology, art direction and the study of contemporary art. Project management covers financial aspects and marketing, while workshops develop their ability to interpret briefs and create integrated marketing communication projects.
- Year 2: Students work on communication projects set by partner companies, deepening their knowledge of visual communication, art direction and editorial systems for art. Design management explores entrepreneurship and business modelling, including start-ups. Interdisciplinary workshops and international competitions help students refine their design approach and prepare for professional practice.

General requirements
To apply for a NABA Master of Arts, you need a bachelor’s degree or first-level academic diploma and must meet the course’s entry requirements. We may consider other backgrounds if your motivation and research interests are strong.
Complete the application form, pay the fee, and submit:
- Your CV and motivation letter
- A copy of your passport’s photo page
- Your degree certificate and full academic transcripts in English
- A project portfolio (optional for Social Design)
- Proof of Italian at CEFR B1 or English at IELTS 5.0 or an accepted equivalent
Submit the language certificate within one month before the programme begins, and ensure it is no older than 2 years. Native speakers are exempt; an English-taught high school diploma also qualifies, subject to verification by the Admissions Office.
Non-EU applicants needing a study visa must complete UniversItaly pre-enrolment and the relevant consular procedures.
