Designed for those involved in some kind of ministry whether laity and clergy alike, our course aims to improve the competence of practitioners, assisting you to make a better contribution within your ministry.

You choose one of five pathways to suit your needs:

Teaching takes place at both South Wales Baptist College and St Padarn’s Institute over eight days each semester.

You will develop your intellectual competence and research skills, deepening your reflective practice and enhancing pastoral capability.

                      Academic Requirements

                      • Our Theology programme is suitable for graduates in Theology and/or Religious Studies. Though primarily aimed at people engaged in Christian Ministry (in its widest understanding), laity or ordained ministers of religion alike, members of some other professional groups – e.g. nursing, medicine – will find it equally valuable.
                      • Applicants should normally possess or expect to obtain a First or Upper Second class UK Honours degree, or equivalent. However, significant experience of ministry can also be taken into account.
