The master's degree in Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology is six years. The basic forms of teaching are lectures, practical exercises, seminars, consultations, teaching in agricultural and food companies and institutions, individual internships and internships of students with private veterinarians. Furthermore, independent professional work at the institutes and special-purpose facilities of the faculty and university, as well as independent study. Emphasis is placed on practical teaching aimed at acquiring the student's practical skills. Study success is checked continuously during the semester, at the end of the semester by credit and at the end of the study of the subject by an exam.

- Entrance examination consists of written examination in biology and a written examination in chemistry based on the content of respective textbooks for secondary schools.
- The written exam in biology has a form of a test, which consists of questions and multiple choice answers and questions that are to be answered in one or more words.
- The written exam in chemistry has a form of a test, where the answer is a concrete formula, chemical equation, scheme, drawing or solving an arithmetical problem. The biology test contains a total of 37 questions; a correct answer is valued 1 point, thus the maximal result in the biology test is 37 points.
