Jointly offered by the Faculty of Education and the Centre for Applied English Studies in the Faculty of Arts, the programme is designed for recent university graduates/graduating students, and will develop students' understanding of key concepts, theories and research related to Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
For qualifications from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which language of teaching and/or examination is not English, a candidate is required to obtain a score of 580 or above in the paper-based TOEFL with a Test of Written English score of 4.0 or above, or a score of 80 in the internet-based TOEFL with a score of 25 or above in the Writing section; or a minimum overall band of 6.5 with no sub-test lower than 6.0 in IELTS.
