Overview

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery programme from The University of Hong Kong will enable the students to acquire familiarity with most pathological conditions affecting the mouth and jaws; an understanding of the principles of patient management and experience of in-patient care; basic skills in oral surgery and selected aspects of maxillofacial surgery; and knowledge of the relevant literature and the ability to assess such literature critically.

Learning outcomes

The programme, where desired, forms the basis for further training to achieve accreditation as a specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Hong Kong.
