Overview
Economics is about understanding consumer behaviour, how markets and businesses work, and the role of public policy. You will dive into modern micro and macro theory, econometrics, data wrangling and visualisation, and learn how to simulate various economic models to understand the impact of policy. You will learn to critically assess the key modelling assumptions, how to confront the model with data, and translate findings into recommendations for business and policy, with consideration for society and sustainability.

You will learn to:
- apply micro and macro models to analyse markets, competition, business cycles, and inflation
- build, estimate, and validate econometric models (time series/panel) and manage data with programming tools
- Use models and quantitative tools to simulate economic scenarios for policy and business decisions
- assess causality and intervention effects, and deliver data-driven recommendations
- Critically evaluate uncertainty, assumptions, and data limitations
- communicate insights clearly to decision-makers in business and the public sector

- Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.50 (B) on ECTS scale.
- Applicants with international education are required to submit a GMAT 555 (Focused Edition) or GMAT 600 (10th Edition).

General requirements
- A successfully completed bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS credits) in the field of business administration, finance or economics Or
- A successfully completed bachelor’s degree with a specialisation (minimum 80 ECTS credits) in one of the following, provided that the combination of courses gives a good foundation for further studies within business economics and administration:
- Mathematics or statistics
- Accounting
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Accounting or Finance
- Statistics or Econometrics
- Mathematics or equivalent*
The bachelor’s degree must include the following foundation courses with minimum grade of C:
*Equivalent courses may include Calculus, Algebra, Differential Equations, or other courses in which mathematics was taught and applied. Applicants need to include the relevant course syllabus(es) with their application to determine that applicants satisfy this requirement.
Admission requirements are the same for every major.
