Overview

The Department of Civil Infrastructure at Kitami Institute of Technology conducts education incorporating the needs of society with regard to environmental conservation and disaster prevention as well as operation and maintenance of social infrastructure while at the same time leveraging the university’s distinctive features originating in its location in a cold region with an amazing natural environment.

The course has five research groups:

Non-Japanese nationals who meet one of the following qualifications by the end of March 2010 are eligible for application:

To have graduated from a university

To have been awarded a bachelors degree by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation (NIAD-UE)

To have completed 16 years of schooling overseas

To have completed a postsecondary course of a specialized training college admitted by MEXT

To have been recognized by the Graduate School of Kitami Institute of Technology, through eligibility judgment, as having equal to higher academic ability than those who have graduated from a university or college, and to be at least 22 years of age
