Overview
The Chemistry - Science, Society and Policy programme at the University of Ottawa provides a unique multidisciplinary framework for students to master advanced chemical sciences while exploring the complexities of public policy. This collaborative specialisation is designed to bridge the gap between laboratory research and the societal implications of scientific discovery, preparing graduates to navigate the interface of evidence-based decision-making and innovation.
Delivered through the Ottawa-Carleton Chemistry Institute, the programme leverages the combined expertise and facilities of both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Students benefit from a rich research environment where they can investigate how emerging technologies interact with society and how current regulatory landscapes shape the scientific enterprise.
