Overview
Whether you're newly qualified or aiming to progress into advanced clinical roles, this part-time course is structured to fit around your existing professional commitments, making it ideal for busy healthcare professionals.
One of the unique features of this Clinical Pharmacy via Study Centres course at University of Sunderland is the integration of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) e-Portfolio into your learning. Your assessed work directly contributes to your portfolio, meaning you'll graduate with a comprehensive and structured record that can support future RPS credentialling if you choose to pursue it.
What you'll learn
You can choose to complete a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Clinical Pharmacy over two years or progress to a full MSc over three years. If you already hold a PgDip or equivalent qualification, you may be eligible for the one-year MSc top-up route. As part of the MSc, you'll complete a research project that will equip you with the skills to develop as a capable and confident research practitioner.
On completion of the course, you’ll be well prepared for a range of senior pharmacist roles across the healthcare sector. We’ll support you in planning your career progression with your employer, and many graduates go on to secure promotions, making this a smart and valuable investment in your future.
