The objective of the Materials Engineering programme from University of Miskolc is to train engineers who, based on their knowledge in fundamental sciences of structure, properties and behavior of materials (e.g. metals and their alloys, ceramics and silicates, polymers and plastics), are able to design and operate technologies and to carry out research projects and development activities.


During the Materials Engineering programme, offered by the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering from University of Miskolc, students choose a specialization and also a supplementary specialization. A specialisation requires a minimum of 5 students; if the minimum is not met the student will be offered another specialisation.

                  • B2 level on the CEFR scale is a must. It is equivalent with an IELTS (academic version) 6.0 minimum score. Any  official language exams (not only IELTS or TOEFL) are accepted as supporting documents.
                  • BSc degree holders, if the language of instruction was English are exempt from language test requirements.
